Switch Mode Inverter


Simple Switch mode up-converter is normaly called inverters.
Input voltage 10-16 Volt, Output 200-300 Volt DC 70 W.
Uses UC1825 from Unitrode, and two IRF540 to drive the push-pull transformer.
A normal bridge retifier is used to make DC out, see left side.
Usage for this converter is driving small light bulbs that is energy savers,
They have also an internal converter to drive the neon-tube, they can handle DC or AC from 100 to 300 Volt input.
